Work-Applied Learning (WAL) uses a consultancy-oriented learning approach which facilitates learning by chief executives and senior managers to effect organisational or divisional change.
This unique consultancy-oriented learning approach is grounded by the WAL formula of K+P1+Q = P2. This approach allows managers to work together with GCWAL facilitators to go through a creative thinking and learning process and acquire new learning experiences which they can use to plan and implement organisational or divisional change.
This approach allows managers to:
- critically reflect on a project (P1) to address a problem or need in their organisation
- question (Q) how to solve a problem by searching for ideas to help plan a change project
- reflect and apply relevant knowledge (K) in the planning and implementation of a change project
- achieve performance outcomes (P2), including project outcomes, process outcomes, and learning outcomes.
