WAL Professional Development Programs

The WAL Professional Certification programs are designed for managers and professionals who wish to undergo a process of professional development and obtain certification in WAL.

There are three levels of programs as shown below. Each consecutive level involves an initial individual assessment and the undertaking of the relevant WAL Professional Certification programs via online learning and virtual collaboration. The process is a gradual one, with a growth in professional expertise over time.

Work-Applied Change Consultant

WAL 1: Work-Based Practitioner Program

This program is designed to provide participants with specific knowledge and skills in the application of:

On successful completion of the program the WB Practitioner would be competent to plan deliver and evaluate a Work-Based project and is awarded the title of Certified Work-Based Practitioner by GCWAL.

WAL 2: Work-Applied Facilitative Leader Program

This programme introduces participants to:

On successful completion participants are awarded the title of Certified Work-Applied Facilitative Leader by GCWAL.

WAL 3: Work-Applied Change Consultant Program

This program requires participants to implement a WAL for Change program for a maximum of 12 months.

On successful completion participants are awarded the title title of Certified Work-Applied Change Consultant by GCWAL.

Collaborating with the Global Centre for Work-Applied Learning

GCWAL continues to collaborate and partner with organisations, communities and higher education institutions in order to share up to date knowledge and improve practices in Work-Based Learning (WBL) and Work-Applied Learning (WAL).
