Juhani Tuovinen is a former Professor and Dean of Education at Sheridan Institute of Higher Education, Perth. Previously he held Associate Professor positions at Batchelor Institute of Tertiary Education and the University of Sunshine Coast during a career in school teaching and tertiary educational research and practice.
He has focused his latest studies into learning, especially cognitive aspects of learning. In this area he has numerous publications based on practical tested methods for improving learning. He has extensive experience in practitioner development both in the initial and later phases of educators’ careers.
