Graduate Work Readiness (GWR)
The GWR programme is designed to enable new graduates to develop the people skills which are essential for them to add value to their organisation as quickly as possible. This programme is delivered over 4 months, with online content and in-built support from GCWAL facilitators.
Each graduate will undertake a real-life Work-Readiness project to develop their people skills. As they undertake their duties at the workplace, the graduates will have invaluable opportunities to apply the learning resources available to develop essential skills such as working with others, communication, problem-solving, taking feedback and time management and to reflect and learn from their experiences.
Participants will complete a project plan, monthly reflective reports and a final report on their experiences and future plans. Successful completion of this programme will result in the award of certification.
Facilitating Action Learning Teams (FALT)
This programme is designed for employees who wish to understand and apply the concepts and practices of Action Learning in their organisation. This programme is delivered over 5 months, with online content and in-built support from GCWAL facilitators.
Participants are introduced to key concepts and practices of Action Learning. They will each identify a specific issue or problem for an action learning project which they wish to implement in their workplace. They will then develop a project plan and then implement the project with their action learning set.
Participants will complete a project plan and an implementation report detailing the action learning process used. Successful completion of this programme will result in the award of certification and an option to further certification and pathways to other programmes.
Negotiated Management Learning (NML)
This unique programme is designed to enable participants to develop an understanding about a particular area of management for their individual personal development. This programme is delivered over 4 months, with online content and in-built support from GCWAL facilitators.
The participant will be guided by the GCWAL facilitator to explore relevant literature and to draw upon the learning gained in order to develop their own professional practice. The themes of this negotiated professional development will be related to individual professional development and organisational objectives.
Participants will complete an action plan for their individual professional development and a reflection report on the initial implementation process. Successful completion of this programme will result in the award of certification.
Facilitative Leadership (FL)
The FL Programme is designed for present and potential managers who wish to improve their facilitative leadership skills. This programme is delivered over 16 weeks, with online content and in-built support from GCWAL facilitators.
Participants are introduced to key concepts and practices of facilitative leadership. They will apply this knowledge as they work with their teams on workplace projects. At scheduled times, they will self-assess their facilitative leadership style as well as obtain feedback from their team members and supervisor in order to identify areas of improvement and measure changes in their facilitative leadership style. As a result, they will gain a better understanding of their leadership style in terms of self, self in relation to their teams and self in relation to their supervisor.
Participants will complete a project Participants will complete a report on the changes in their facilitative leadership style over the duration of the programme. Successful completion of this programme will result in the award of certification.
